Happy Canada Day!

I have some hope that Canada is heading in the right direction. We need to focus on fixing our healthcare system and multiple other areas. With a good leader, I have some hope that common sense will prevail. It is an uphill battle but at least its a start and we are not going backwards all the time.

Happy Canada Day!

Canada is headed in the right direction. But are you?

You are lost, lonely, sterile, and bitter. Your plight is not that of your country's. Do not seek to identify your despair with the hope of a young nation.

Your nation is dynamic and gloriously alive. It is you that are old and hopeless.

Now THAT's funny! If you read the post again, you will see that it is hopeful and happy that we are heading in the right direction. Tell me how that is hopeless? Old, absolutely, but hopeless, no. Sheesh.... If the liberals had gotten in, I would have definitely lost hope. Perhaps you should read your comment and ask yourself a few questions.

Hmmm. I don't get lost, lonely, sterile, and bitter at all from anything on your blog.

You have interesting insights Lanny, and if the "dr." has a problem with that, then it must be something to do with him/her and not you. Usually when someone reacts with hostile words, it's not personal... especially since he/she has no possible way of knowing you in order to make a judgment like that.

Lanny, some people feel they have won a loterry by being a Canadian, and then spend and mortgage until their assets are gone. On the other hand some people are euphoric (unjustified sence of well being) and simply need to increase their dose of lithium.

Well, I consider myself personally to be pretty lucky-maybe not lottery lucky- but I sure do appreciate the country in which I live and love it despite its faults. I believe Canada still has a chance in ways different than Lanny if Canadians really smarten up (and they haven't yet).

One of the great things about Canada is that everyone has a right to believe in whatever they want to. You can disagree with them, but resorting to personal insults just shows you, Dr. Seuss, as a close-minded person. Although I disagree with a lot of Lanny's ideas, name calling is pointless (not to mention she would grind me to an intellectual pulp within minutes-she let you off easy;).

Theses are a rhetroical questions.

Is it possible, that when plebians were granted the gift of education and thus the the ability to write, that the downfall of western civilization began?

Is it possible that democracy is not a good thing, because it puts power into the hands of an ignorant peasantry?

Is it possible that peasants will always be peasants?

Is it possible, that all men are not truly equal?

If all men are not equal, then how do we choose, and who must choose, those best fit to govern?

I am God's Angel Michael. I am here to reveal your ignorance and bombastic arrogance to yourselves.
